About the craftsmen:

I’m Devin Whittaker — a SW Virginia native with deep roots in the Blue Ridge and a lifelong respect for craftsmanship. For over a decade, I built my career in fine dining, managing some of the region’s top restaurants. That environment demanded precision, consistency, and an eye for detail — all of which I now bring to every piece I build.

Woodworking isn’t just a trade for me.
It’s a legacy.

My grandfather, Richard Gish Kirkland, was a man of rare integrity. In his community, the Kirkland name still means something — honesty, skill, and a willingness to help others. After his passing, I felt called to carry that legacy forward with my own hands.

Every table, every joint, every finish is done with the same care and pride he lived by. I treat each project with almost obsessive attention to detail. Whether it's a piece of furniture or a small home repair, my goal is the same: do it right, do it well, and stand behind it.

This isn’t just a business. It’s a promise to keep showing up, doing my best, and honoring the name that came before me.
